Job description

Financial Systems Support Analyst - for top tier global law firm in Washington, DC.

**This position offers 5 days a week remote work but must live in the DC metropolitan area.

Ideal candidate has an aptitude for technology and a strong core technical skill set - advanced Excel skills, i.e., formulas, and who has seen codes before and is interested and willing to learn them. A candidate with prior accounting or billing experience who is interested in moving into systems support may be a good fit. This is a growth position and offers a career path.

This position is responsible for assisting with maintenance/end-user support for financial software applications. This position will handle complicated issues originating from the Helpdesk relating to 3E (accounting system), iTimekeep (mobile time entry system), IntApp Open (new matter intake system) and Chrome River (expense management and invoicing system). This position will also assist with planning, testing and end-user training for system implementations, upgrades and new functionality releases. **These above named softwares are not required but any financial software or legal billing software experience is very helpful.

Position Duties:

Software/Application Support: Assist with planning, development, and testing efforts for new software releases, system upgrades and functionality enhancements. Assist with gathering and documenting business requirements for new functionality and/or configurations aimed to meet business needs or improve efficiencies. Contribute to system and process re-engineering efforts and assess downstream impacts of proposed solutions. Assist with project management activities across various applications as needed.

Training/User Guide Development: Collaborate with the IT training group to develop user guides, videos and/or classroom materials and presentations. Serve as subject matter expert and assist with training efforts for new employees.

Customer Service/Production Support: Assist with back-office and end-user support and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet business needs. Coordinate as needed with internal or external technical resources to secure resolution for more complex issues.

Data Integrity/Management: Assist in maintaining the accuracy, integrity and availability of the data contained in various applications.

Process Improvement: Assist with identifying opportunities to increase automation, streamline reporting practices, improve accuracy and reduce the amount of time required to complete specific tasks.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, 1-2 years in job related role showing progressive growth in responsibilities.
Strategic/analytical thinker with superior problem solving and decision-making skills.
Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. Able to work independently with limited supervision. Proactive, possess written and oral communications skills to clearly and concisely summarize conclusions and observations to senior/executive management. High level of integrity/sound judgment; ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information. Salary is commensurate with experience.
