Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to supporting the team in applying mathematical models, advanced tools or techniques (such as SAS, Python, and R), and financial industry knowledge to business or financial data, including model results. Your efforts will enable the team to analyze or report on business performance, solve business questions, or inform business decisions. Work may include developing models or prototypes to achieve these goals but is not the core focus in the role.

Responsibilities
The Financial Engineering Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities
- Collaborate on processing or analyzing large amounts of data efficiently using advanced financial engineering tools and techniques. Determine customer's intended uses for a financial analysis or model and provide actionable insights to influence business decisions and outcomes.
- Conduct financial analysis or forecasting, which may include scenario or sensitivity analysis, stress testing, or attribution analysis.
- Execute models and/or interpret model results. Translate the results from the analysis or models for the customer into understandable conclusions.
- Work directly with model builders to vet new models, suggest changes to existing models, or analyze model performance data.
- Perform data and systems analysis, validation, and regression testing.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Required Experiences
- For Associate Level: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
- Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
- Experience in the process of analyzing large datasets to identify insightful trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
- Experience evaluating businesses, projects, budgets, and other financial entities or instruments to determine viability, stability, and performance
- Presenting results of analysis to colleagues and senior management in an understandable and cohesive manner
- Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
- The group of skills related to Programming including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages
- Skilled in creating and managing databases with the use of relevant software such as MySQL, Hadoop, or MongoDB
- Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process
- Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action
- Skilled in Excel
- Skilled in SQL
- Skilled in one or more of the following: Python/SAS/R
- Experience using Macros in Excel
- Skilled in Tableau
- Experience using JIRA
