Lead BSA:

  • Looking for a tech Lead/BSA Lead
  • Understanding of technologies is vital for the role.
  • A degree is CS would be nice if that person has no work experience as a technical person
  • Understanding of APIs, SoapUI and general tech stack
  • Understanding of how API and SDK implementation works.
  • Understanding of programming concepts and SQL queries
  • Able to read application logs
  • Exp with Mobile banking apps and online, digital banking is super nice to have.
  • Good communication skills
Challenges:
Seeing candidate more on the Business side, want someone who is more technical and has worked as a BSA.

Kind of questions:
  • Questions around their tech stack/systems they have used before or familiar with
  • JIRA and confluence
  • Be able to talk through what role they played during their previous projects.

Job Description:
The Lead, Business Systems Analyst is responsible for leading a team of Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) and development, implementation, integration and ongoing maintenance of designated Technology Credit Union (Tech CU) business systems. The incumbent investigates and provides solutions for end users, creates ad-hoc reports or queries of system functionality, and acts as liaison between end-users and the development team.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties
  • Acts as liaison between business systems vendors and Tech CU team to manage, test and implement updates and new features.
  • Leads, coaches and mentors BSA team on best practices on BSA artifacts and trains new team members.
  • Provides system administration, develops reporting tools and responds to user requests via the Information Technology (IT) ticket management system.
  • Builds Customer Relationship Management (CRM) campaigns according to specifications outlined by the Marketing Division and provides reporting to Retail Banking.
  • Monitors programs, and provides system administration.
  • Designs, develops and maintains Tech CU's critical systems including, but not limited to, the website, online banking, mobile and intranet. Ensures systems are available 24/7/365.
  • Identifies, researches and resolves intranet/SharePoint issues that arise.
  • Solicits intranet needs of other units, evaluates the needs, and prepares materials for inclusion on Tech CU's intranet.
  • Facilitates and supports new applications, processes, and corporate calendars/communications.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of various new applications initiatives through interaction with business units, understanding of business objectives, research, project scoping and planning, relaying requirements to the developers, testing, training, and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Interacts with other departments to promote information sharing and transforms material into relevant, accessible, accurate and understandable data.
  • Collaborates with others to develop functional requirements, create, test, and rapidly modify prototype applications, secure user sign off, and work with other staff to migrate the new process or changes into the production environment.
  • Regularly participates on (or may lead) project teams to procure/develop and deliver required system tools.
  • Continually scans horizon for regulatory changes that may impact the enterprise.
  • Maintains awareness of new products, services and initiatives that are in development stages at Tech CU.
  • Documents system architecture and design, enhancements and business decisions in document management system.
  • Participates in new vendor and product evaluation, selection and contract negotiations.
  • Assists management in drafting requirements and Request for Proposals (RFPs) during vendor selection process.
  • Provides demonstration and training to staff members of new applications and solutions.

Work Schedule
  • Full-time; typically 40 hours/week
  • Flexibility to occasionally work early or late hours, and extended weekend hours, typically with advance notice.
  • On-call work during off hours and weekends.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in technical field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience:
  • 8+ years' increasingly responsible experience in related disciplines, including technical experience with current software applications, technical training.
  • Experience in financial services area with a focus in retail, consumer and mortgage lending is highly desired.
  • Experience with Temenos Lifecycle Management Suite or similar loan origination system (LOS) is highly desired. Experience with Digital banking is highly desirable.
  • Experience with core banking systems such as Symitar is highly desirable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of Apple mobile operating system (iOS) and Android mobile operating systems and their development and deployment practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong familiarity with common browser types including Internet Explorer, Edge, Chrome, Safari and Firefox.
  • Good knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, and mobile technologies.
  • Solid proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Publisher, and Adobe tools such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash Player and Authoring to deliver distance-learning modules.
  • High ability to research, analyze and propose solutions for multi-faceted problems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong organization, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly accurate and detail oriented.
  • Highly adaptive and open to changes as the organization grows and its needs evolve.
  • Understanding of hypertext markup language (HTML), cascading style sheet (CSS) and Javascript is highly desired.
  • Understanding of web technologies including application program interface (API), single sign-on (SSO), certificates is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of banking mainframe/core systems and digital banking platforms is highly desired.
