Responsibilities

The Litigation Paralegal provides professional, accurate, timely and reliable paralegal support reporting to and detailed to assist the litigating teams, assisting the attorneys with all phases of litigation. In particular, the Litigation Paralegal will support the missions of Employment and Civil Litigation teams and perform research, locate responsive information, identify relevant laws, judicial decisions, and legal articles; synopsizing transcripts of hearings and oral arguments for attorney use; review case material and identify potentially conflicting statement or areas requiring further investigation. The work products of the Litigation Paralegals are reviewed prior to submission; however, the Litigation Paralegal will develop these products with minimal direct supervision other than written guidelines.

Qualifications

Due to our contractual requirements, to be eligible for this role, you must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated at time of hire.

Active Top Secret Clearance

Bachelor's Degree

2 or more years of litigation paralegal experience.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated working knowledge of legal research tools, such as LEXIS NEXIS, Westlaw, and Pacer.

Preferred:

Successful completion of Paralegal Degree, Law degree desired; Experience with trial prep and at trial is preferred. Have a sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources. Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools, such as LEXIS NEXIS and Westlaw. Excellent Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and hands-on familiarity with computer applications that assist with document review, case management systems. Hands-on experience with ESI tools and general knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources is desired.
