BDO National Tax provides technical leadership and support to BDO client service professionals and alliance firms throughout the world on matters involving US and International taxation. As a member of our National Tax team, you will apply your knowledge and experience to work directly with clients and with all levels of BDO and alliance firm tax professionals, with a specific focus on International Tax. Additional responsibility include, but are not limited to: creating and encouraging an environment which promotes (a) the highest standards of the profession, (b) conforming with Firm policies (c) high rates of client retention and expansion, and (d) cross-selling of all services offered by the Firm, where permitted by Firm policy and professional standards, and (e) the professional development needs of the national business line staff nationally at all levels are met.

Qualifications

Education:
- BS / BA Degree or equivalent, required
- JD, MBA, MST, or LL.M Tax, preferred

Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax, required
- IRS/Treasury experience, preferred

License/Certifications:
- Licensed CPA or Member of Bar in Good Standing, preferred

Software:
- Able to use various tax applications and research tools, required

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge and experience with IRS procedures
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Solid analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on organization and detail
- General Knowledge of ASC 740 including development/execution of market strategy and risk management procedures
- Working knowledge of other areas of federal tax law, including corporations, partnerships, and accounting methods
- Proven verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to tax professionals and clients
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Demonstrated ability to hold others and self-accountable
- Fully developed technical skills
- Enthusiasm and support for the Firm and the profession
- Capable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationships
