Job description

Lighthouse Technology Services is seeking a Senior Level Business Systems Analyst for a 6 month REMOTE contract opportunity. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will play a key role working with multiple levels of the Business while also providing guidance to agile team members as well as work with other Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) on cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities:

•Translate business requests into software requirements:

o Clarify requirements by working with Business Stakeholders

o Facilitate requirements sessions/workshops

o Document requirements (stories with acceptance criteria, flows, other documentation)

o Obtain agreement/signoff on requirements and scope

•Act as the primary liaison between Business Stakeholders and Technology Teams

•Work fluidly with application developers, database developers, business analysts, quality assurance engineers and product owners to validate requirements/business needs in order to answer business questions and provide meaningful insights

•Participate in review of defects found in sprint testing, to classify any defects or new requirements

•Participate in regular backlog review/team refinement sessions

•Identify and coordinate with key technology stakeholders to complete tasks; equip them with appropriate context and details regarding objectives

•Manage work in well organized and systematic manner



Min Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience

•Minimum 5 years of experience in a business systems analyst role, preferably on enterprise level projects

•Strong SQL skills preferred

•Knowledge of project management and workflow/mockup tools and principles

•Familiarity with requirements validation, team building and technical documentation skills

•Excellent analytical & critical thinking skills with the ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple priorities, ambiguity and rapid change

•Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with personnel from other cultures / backgrounds in different locations

•Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing

•Take ownership of the timely delivery of work assigned at high quality standards

•Ability to effectively manage time with minimal supervision

•Customer sensitive and results oriented

•Works well as a member of a team, shares knowledge and consults with others for best solutions

•Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment

•Experience with software defect/enhancement tracking system (Azure DevOps is preferred) - provided by Dice
