Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Business System Analyst to work on client's Office Development projects. The successful candidate will provide analysis of business processes and assess business needs to design, develop, and modify client's Office Software Applications. This includes: Jail Management Software, Law Enforcement software, as well as working on Public Information requests.

Scope of Work:

Provide consultation, technical and analytical duties relating to the operation, maintenance and enhancement of systems;
Provide expertise in the business functions and processes of specific functional areas; work with process owners, super users and end-users in identifying, analyzing and resolving business process or configuration problems.
Perform systems analysis duties; provide expertise in the design, development and implementation of system modifications, process improvements and enhancements; communicate changes and new processes; provide technical expertise to clients to ensure design requirements reflect the business process needs; monitor continuing effectiveness of solutions.
Develop business cases, project plans, requirement definitions, business process analysis, user acceptance test plans and execute implementation.
Configure, test and manage systems; include performing periodic system upgrades; coordinate with IT staff, consultants, vendors, business process owners, end-users and management.
Collaborate with customers to coordinate and review business process fixes and determine the impact on production processes;
In addition to the above duties, the senior level will: provide project management duties on complex, multi-faceted system projects; may lead the work of staff, consultants, vendors and others.

Preferred: experience or background in a criminal justice field

Nice to have: experience in creating and managing projects in Azure Boards and/or other tools that support Agile processes
Must: be able to pass a criminal background check

Required Skills and Abilities: Project Management
Advanced skill managing concurrent projects of varying sizes (5+ years) and demonstrated knowledge of Agile project management tools and methodologies.
Intermediate knowledge and skill (2 - 3 years) sizing and prioritizing requests for programming changes or for development of new systems.

Research and Data Analysis
Advanced knowledge and skill (3 - 5 years) analyzing and creating design and programming specifications for custom extracts based on business needs.
Advanced knowledge and skill (4 - 7 years) creating custom data extracts in support of internal and/or public information requests.
Intermediate (2 - 3 years) skill facilitating analysis of Federal, State and Municipal mandates and statutes to determine business impacts and determining needed system modifications.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL (2 - 3 years) to write and execute queries for data extraction and test data loads.

Systems, Tools and Methodologies
Intermediate knowledge and skill (2 - 3 years) using the most effective project management methodologies as needed to fit the circumstances e.g., Agile, more traditional methodologies. Knowledge of SDLC towards delivering custom developed business systems.
Intermediate knowledge and skill (2 - 3 years) of data modelling to transform business data and processes into their appropriate logical application system representation.

Customer Support
Advanced knowledge and skill (3 - 5 years) analyzing customer business processes and recommending simplified or more efficient processes (process improvement).
Advanced skill (3 - 5 years) troubleshooting customer issues to determine cause, workarounds, and analysis to develop requests for programming changes when appropriate.
Advanced knowledge and skill (3 - 5 years) providing consulting support to system owners and users requesting technology solutions.
