In this new role, you will:

  • Plan, analyze, and evaluate procurement policies and procedures regarding contract conformance within the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) guidelines and practices
  • Ensure that post-award compliances, contractual disputes, and other post-award issues regarding contracts are resolved
  • Meet and reach agreement through discussions with proposed contractors on costs, deliverables, and performance via the Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Complete cost and/or price analyses, repricing actions, and final contract pricings
  • Draft pertinent clauses, provisions, and delivery/performance schedules for solicitation request for proposals
  • Create evaluation criteria in accordance with acquisition regulations, guidance and policy for performance work statements and equipment descriptions
  • Review proposals in accordance with solicitation guidelines and source selection plan for accuracy, best price and value for commercial items and services
  • Implement Pre & Post-award contract actions supporting the customer
  • Perform all contract follow-up functions after award providing post-award documentation, guidance to vendors, and contract performance
  • Monitor contract status ensuring government rights and remedies are preserved and enforced
  • Initiate timely activities notifying vendors of government actions (notice to exercise options, change requirements, etc.)
  • Perform monitoring and oversight of contracts to resolve protests, claims, and modifications
  • Resolve disputes and other problems concerning obligations of either the government or the contractor
  • Solicit purchase request for quotations (RFQ) to various small and large businesses
  • Create solicitations, simplified acquisition pricing memorandums, small business coordination, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and awards documents for CO review and funding

Job Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of DoD acquisition experience
  • Possession of DAWIA Level II or FAC-C Level II certifications
  • Working knowledge of DoD and federal acquisition processes, applicable laws and regulations (Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense FAR (DFARS)
  • Knowledge of federal government acquisitions of commercial supplies and/or services
  • Must have good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience as an 1102 in the Federal Government (desired)
  • Experience with major contract writing systems is highly desirable

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer. To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
