Responsibilities:
The Payroll Analyst position at Silicon Valley Bank is a 6 month contract position to help support the Payroll Team through the integration of a recent acquisition. We're seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst with experience in payroll tax and year end processes. This role is responsible for assisting the team with the processing and administration of US payroll, payroll projects, and some international payroll tasks. The Payroll Analyst reports to the Sr. Manager, Global Payroll at Silicon Valley Bank and is a remote position. The Payroll Analyst will work collaboratively with various teams within HR such as HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Development and Field Delivery to deliver accurate and complete payroll to our US workforce. She/He will apply their experience and knowledge to effectively improve the overall international and domestic payroll process. She/He will ensure proper Workday transaction processing and configuration such that information transitions to our global payroll providers for on time pay to employees. Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a huge plus and will allow us to leverage experience throughout the integration.
Responsibilities:
Assist with processing US Payroll for approximately 3500 employees, processing timecards, loading data, and running audit reports.
Process new hires, terminations, and off-cycle payments.
Respond to employee questions via email and MS Teams.
Help drive process improvements in routine payroll activities.
Develop and distribute a variety of payroll reports to various stakeholders.
Skills and Requirements:
Merger and Acquisition experience highly desired.
2+ years proven experience with Workday Payroll, Timekeeping and HR.
3 - 5 years proven experience processing multi-state payroll for at least 1,000 employees.
2 plus years of international payroll processing experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to identify issues and propose/implement solutions.
Strong Analytical skills with an intermediate experience level with Microsoft Excel including v-lookups and pivot tables.
Some experience with payroll project coordination.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proactive, positive attitude, and team player.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field of study is strongly preferred.
