Sayres and Associates is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist at the company headquarters office located in Washington, DC. The position is located in one of the most exciting, growing and developing areas of Washington DC- just outside the Navy Yard almost next to the Washington National's baseball park . Th e Talent Acquisition Specialist will apply initiative and self-direction while working within a team talent acquisition framework under the guidance, direction and mentorship of senior leaders and staff. We are looking to grow our Talent Acquisition team to support significant growth in 2022. Join now to help develop a broad spectrum of technical, engineering, and administrative services including acquisition, financial and program management; fleet synthetic training; logistics; ship construction engineering; systems engineering and integration; wargaming; test and evaluation; security, counterintelligence and policy analysis positions .

Responsibilities
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support full lifecycle recruiting for internal and external candidates. They will work collaboratively with the hiring managers to screen, and schedule interviews for candidates. This position will develop strategies to drive top talent to Sayres and Associates and create programs to increase retention.It will support business development and proposal efforts and have an integral role in growth and development for the company overall.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing strategies for attracting and retaining talent.
  • Manage best practices for outreach, networking, and compliance with OFCCP requirements.
  • Develop and manage an internal mobility program.
  • Partners with the HR team to develop training for hiring managers.
  • Provide recruiting support for proposals.
  • Create and maintain job descriptions.
  • Post and manage disposition of all requisitions.
  • Track recruiting metrics and reporting.
  • Manage OFCCP reporting requirements, including AAP, VETS, and EEO reporting.
  • Collaboratively work with recruiting team to support the needs of talent acquisition.
  • Act as a point of contact for all hiring manager requirements.
  • Coordinate candidate phone screens and in-person interviews.
  • Review all job requisitions for FLSA compliance as well as internal equity.
  • Manage pre-offer screening requirements.
  • Generate offer letters.
  • Maintain and manage employee referral program.
  • Manage recruiting contracts associated with job boards, sourcing needs, tracking systems, and outreach or compliance programs.
  • Work with FSO for all clearance verifications.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition team to support the contact for all recruiting vendors.
Education, Work Experience, and SkillsRequirements :
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in recruiting or talent acquisition with a minimum oftwo (2) years' experience in recruiting for cleared positions.
  • Government contracting experience.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize differing workloads.
  • U nderstanding of full lifecycle recruiting.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and vendors.
  • Good knowledge of human resource compensation and employment practices .
  • Experience developing new classification and writing job descriptions .
  • Ability to interpret and apply employment laws, rules, regulations , and policies .
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and can interact, network, and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all levels in an organization.
Preferred :
  • Government contracting experience with the Navy (highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of labor classifications, OFCCP compliance, and pay structures. Knowledge of multiple applicant tracking systems (ATS s ), to include ApplicantPro .
  • Current AIRS (Advanced Internet Recruitment Strategies) and/or recruiting certification
  • Experience with UKG HRIS.
  • Proficient with social media, resume databases , and professional networks .
Working Conditions:
  • Typical office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling , and balancing.
  • Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through devices such as a telephone.
  • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently.
  • Limited local and CONUS travel may be required .
