Technical Business Systems Analyst

Information Technology

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Business Systems Analyst will assist with analyzing business issues, define requirements, recommend automated system controls and protocols to solve organizational information issues, test product functionality and support annual updates to market data sources and the implementation and configuration of newly licensed clients.

• Support product team on client implementations and configuration.

• Determine operational objectives, gather information, and evaluate output requirements.

• Work closely with product owner to analyze, define, model and document system requirements.

• Identify project milestones, phases, and elements, and keep team within timeline and budget.

• Participate in all Scrum ceremonies.

• Assist product director in managing and prioritizing product backlog.

• Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, and write specifications.

• Ensure end-user proficiency with new systems, programs, and applications across departments.

• Coordinate organizational change management framework.

• Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures based on business requirements.

• Test software to ensure functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications are adhered to.

• Identify and execute automation for common test cases. Review and provide feedback on product feature requirements.

• Create and edit automated system protocols by writing and updating procedures.

• Create end-user documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts, training materials).

• Provide end-user support.

• Triage production support issues to determine system changes, fixes and end user communications.

• Participate in product and report releases.

• Position requires on call and some weekend and after-hours commitment.

• Exercise independent judgment and take the lead role on enterprise level project with minimal direction from a director or engagement manager.

• Effectively facilitate meetings, demonstrate brainstorming / consensus building skills, and interact with executive level project sponsors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• BA or BS within a data analytics, computer programming or computer science, statistics, or related field.

• Knowledge of the health-care industry is preferred.

• Knowledge of compensation benchmarking is preferred.

• A minimum of six years of experience with gathering system requirements, analyzing data and software testing.

• Advanced technical knowledge and experience working with MS Office, Azure DevOps, Tableau, SQL.

• Experience working in Agile teams and framework.

• Familiarity with ETL concepts and processes.

• Demonstrated experience in data quality control.v

• Experience in end-user data-level security and product licensing configurations.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to maintain efficient customer portal support and feedback channels.
