A P Ventures, LLC is a full-service IT consulting company headquartered in Columbia, MD. We are a rapidly growing IT services and training company in the Washington DC, Metro area working with many Federal, State and local agencies.
APV has growing need to hire "cream of the crop" technical and non-technical personnel for various contracts that APV has won. At the heart of any successful project, are the people who make it successful.
Due to the increased need for finding highly qualified staff, APV is immediately looking to fill for a Technical Recruiter to help capture the needed talent for our success. This position will work with the Human Resources Department and management to source, screen, and vet highly sophisticated talents for APV various projects.
Job Title: Technical Recruiter
Location: Columbia, MD
Start Date: Immediately
Essential Functions.
- Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.
- Screens resumes, interview candidates (by phone, Skype or in person), administers appropriate assessments, reference/background checking, and makes recommendations for hire (or not hire).
- Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within the local, State and Federal Government territory.
- Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc.
- Develops advertising programs (internal and external) in order to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
- Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to ensure updated information on the recruitment effort process statuses.
- Coordinates the process of receiving the accurate documents needed from candidates for proposal submission
- Communicates important employment information to spark and maintain the interests of prospective candidates (i.e. benefits, compensation, etc.)
- Track metrics, recruitment reports, and statistical data
- Maintains records of past, present, and future candidates in Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Marketing or related field
Experience: At least 5 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience. Must be able to understand technology to screen and vet highly qualified technical resources. Background in Federal Government contracting and recruiting for Government contracts.

- Excellent communications and convincing skills to get the best talents for various openings
