The role is based in Charlotte, but we are open to candidates working remotely around the Charlotte area (open to Charleston, Raleigh, Greensboro, Greenville, Columbia etc.) with some travel for team events.

A Day in the Life
Building relationships with Technology professionals and the Vaco partners / clients, who lean on us to find the top talent whether consultive or permanent / direct hire positions. Our Charlotte leadership team has excellent relationships with local leaders from mom-and-pop shops to the city's largest institutions with a sweet spot in middle market. This means when our recruiters submit candidates, you get REAL FEEDBACK and quickly. Moreover, we are often the exclusive firm on the opening because of these longstanding relationships. Vaco has invested in every recruiting technology under the sun to make your job as painless and streamlines as possible!
We have a stellar corporate training program currently done virtually but will be more on-site in 2022 with local Charlotte training and a trip to Nashville, our Corporate HQ (This training week is a BLAST)!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new and existing client relationships to place permanent technical positions, including but not limited to: Application Developer, Business Intelligence, Project Management, AI/ML, Technical Product Management etc.
- Source, interview, and evaluate candidates looking for contract, consulting. permanent and direct-hire opportunities.
- Market services and candidates to fulfill talent needs within the technology vertical.
- Foster long-term relationships with client partners and area professionals.
- Negotiate salary with potential new hires based on position requirements.
- Prospect local businesses, Involvement with local networking groups, in-person meetings, and interviews.
- Collaborate with teammates to fill open positions and cross-promote other lines of business.
- Achieve established sales and performance goals.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Ideal candidate will have a Minimum of 2 years' experience in, IT recruiting, staffing, and/or related business development or technology sales. We are also open to an entry level individual with drive and passion to learn the technology space.
- Proven success achieving and/or exceeding performance goals.
Technical Skills:
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Experience with Bullhorn or a similar ATS (Applicant Tracking System) preferred.
Basic Skills:
- Able to work with a sense of urgency and meet tight deadlines; Organized, detailed, and results driven.
