More than 3.2 million businesses and institutions worldwide rely on Grainger for products such as safety gloves, ladders, motors, and janitorial supplies, along with services like inventory management and technical support. These customers represent a broad collection of industries including commercial, government, healthcare, and manufacturing. They place orders online, on mobile devices, through sales representatives, over the phone, and at local branches. We are looking for a Change Management Analyst III who has technical hands-on software application development and administration skills and embraces curiosity to test new and better ways to solve problems and improve the way we work. You will work with all levels of the company in deploying application and infrastructure changes. Creating a release and automation test strategy that allows Grainger to deliver solutions our customers need to keep the world working by increasing change deployment frequency and reducing lead time to change delivery.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Administration, configuration, development, and support of Change Management Tools and Processes (Active Control, Service Now)
• Modernization of Change processes by simplifying and automating processes
• Creation and execution of regression test scripts
• Identification and distribution of Change related metrics. score cards and analytics
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize multiple types and sources of
  information into action.
• Strong verbal, written communication, and data presentation skills - including an
  ability to work with senior business and technical stakeholders
• Enables effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and
  compiling it into a digestible and actionable format; Has an opinion as to what a correct
  decision is and can influence
• Helps lead tactical planning discussions

Preferred Education & Experience

• 5 plus years' software application development with ERP Systems (SAP - ABAP)
• 5 plus years' experience working with ITSM Tools (Service Now)
• 3 plus years' experience working with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (Circle CI, Gitlab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, etc.)
• 3 plus years' Service Now Citizen Developer
• 3 plus years' experience with cloud technologies such as AWS
• 3 plus years' administration and support working with Active Control (SAP transport Deployment Tool) or like tool
• 2 plus years' experience with Scripting Language (Python, PowerBuilder, etc.)
• Creating and maintaining critical metrics dashboards (Splunk Service Now) and reports
• Knowledge and understanding of Agile Methodology principles
• The ability to learn and utilize new technologies is a must
• The Change Management Analyst role can be in the Grainger Lake Forest Headquarters or Jacksonville Florida Operations Center. Some travel may be required (up to 10% of time).
