The Public Utilities Department is seeking a professional Principal Project Manager, Licensed to perform supervisory work and professional engineering design work involving construction projects for the Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Division.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Under the Public Utilities Department, the Principal Project Manager (Licensed) will serve as project manager and manage a team responsible for projects related to critical infrastructure operations, including but not limited to roofing repairs & replacements, air conditioning replacements & maintenance, general building maintenance (storm shutters, security gate and fence, etc.), and new construction of buildings for Public Utilities personnel (Water, Wastewater, and Solid Waste). This position will coordinate with Division Directors to assess their individual project needs annually and oversee their execution. Additionally, they will be responsible for long term solid waste strategic planning, and serve as a liaison for the Utilities' critical infrastructure planning needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Geology, or a related field; supplemented by nine (9) years of progressively responsible previous experience and/or training that includes civil engineering, engineering design, engineering plan review, budget administration, computer-aided design (CAD) operations, surveys, and experience in specific area of assignment, which may include utilities engineering, transportation engineering, traffic engineering, stormwater management, facilities management, or other area of assignment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain valid State of Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or obtain one within six (6) months of hire; or possess and maintain other equivalent valid licenses depending upon area of concentration as a Building Architect, a Landscape Architect, a Professional Geologist, or obtain within six (6) months of hire. May possess PE from another state but must obtain a Florida Professional Engineer License within twelve (12) months from the date of hire. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License with any applicable endorsements and maintain eligibility requirements and endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle as provided in CMA 5805. Fingerprinting required.
