Position Summary

The System Administrator is responsible for maintenance and administration of information technology resources such as servers, cloud infrastructure, software and computer systems to ensure high levels of availability and security throughout the enterprise. This position interacts with other team members participating in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure availability, support, and maintenance is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. This position reports the Manager of Information Technology and is a salary, exempt, full-time position.

.Requirements:

Essential Skills

· Interacts professionally with team members on support related issues in a technical support role

· Responds to requests from users via telephone, e-mail, walk-ins and chat in a courteous manner, and creates relevant documentation as needed

· Assists with documenting processes and procedures

· Creates required reports in response to business user needs

· Recommends software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, re configurations, and/or purchases

· Utilizes existing documentation to complete recurring tasks

· Manages maintenance of software and systems in organization

· Assists with communications (e-mail, IM, etc.) and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity, local area networks, company website, intranet, and Internet applications

· Monitors systems to ensure they have the latest updates and security patches

· Assists in troubleshooting of internal and datacenter network/server issues

· Deploys workstations, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, encryption systems, and all security systems

· Monitors back-ups of servers and related systems

· Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information

· Ensures adherence to company I.T. policies and procedures

· Manages end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance

· On-call for production systems support

· Must be able to meet deadlines

· Occasional over-time is required minimal travel required

· Timely and regular attendance is an essential function of the position; being physically present in the work environment is an essential job function

Other Essential Skills

· Working technical knowledge of networking protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SFTP, SSH, Subnetting, VLAN's, VPN's (Site-to-Site and client access), QoS, etc.

· Working knowledge of configuring Switches, Routers and Firewalls. Cisco/Meraki/Palo Alto/etc.

· Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure - Networking, virtual machines, backups, security, and other Azure components.

· Security focused individual. Familiar with security best practices and practical deployment/management of services and features like Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Qualys, etc.

· Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, Security & Compliance center, Teams)

· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune is desirable.

· Hands-on experience administering Active Directory (ADFS, ADDS, Sites/Services, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, etc.)

· Knowledge provisioning and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics CRM on-premises (Claims IFD) is a plus.

· Working knowledge of cloud services and virtualization technologies and such as VMWare vSphere, vCloud Director, Azure, AWS, etc.

· Microsoft SQL abilities (Writing queries, views, stored procedures, SSIS, etc.) and SQL administration (Backup/Restore, Jobs, etc)

· Working knowledge of creating, modifying, and deploying scripts through PowerShell and/or other scripting tools.

· Experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems 2.

· Managing File and Print Servers and services

· Working with web servers - IIS, Apache/LAMP Stack, Basic HTML/PHP, working with SSL certificates, load balancers, security, performance, caching - familiarity with load balancing and clustering, services like Imperva, F5, Cloudflare, etc.

· Position includes providing Server Administration as well as Desktop and Network Administration

· Management of cloud-based telecommunication systems and Contact Center platform. Five9 experience a plus.

· Ability to work well with our team but also the ability to follow any task to its logical completion with minimal intervention from others

· Practiced at interpersonal relations and oral presentation skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills

· Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple task seamlessly with excellent attention to detail

· Possess strong knowledge of local area network and systems administration

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

· Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience

· Experience with data management

· Sitting for extended periods of time

· Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand tools, and to handle other computer components

· Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals (no greater than 40 pounds)

- Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information

· Bending on occasion

· Talking for long periods of time, approximately 8-10 hours a day

Education, Certifications, and Software

· College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or information technology and/or at least 2 years' equivalent work experience

· Industry certifications (i.e. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCITP, CCNA) are desirable
