POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Help provide leadership to the Sales Team, create long-term trusting relationships with our customers and deliver unique programs that fit each retailer's needs. The National Account Manager will oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients, and actively seek new sales opportunities and team growth.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Account management responsibilities include developing strong relationships and connecting with retail and wholesale customers, discovering their needs, finding solutions, preparing sales presentations, and closing deals. Account Managers are also responsible for answering client inquiries, working with them on custom solutions, and identifying new business opportunities among existing and new customers.

  • Build, manage and drive success with large and complex retail accounts.
  • Lead and manage business, promotions, distribution, category innovation, and promotional strategies to continuously drive account growth.
  • Develop retailer activities specific to channel and account trends and/or industry insights.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account needs.
  • Meet and lead meetings with accounts to rollout new products, programs, and strategies.
  • Discover customer needs, work with available inventory, and provide fitting solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships at a personal level as a trusted advisor.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions per customer needs and objectives.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales goals.
  • Provide clear leadership, management, visibility and accountability to other members of the team through strong project management.
  • Lead contract negotiations and operating agreements with customers.
  • Develop presentations and lead demonstrations.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to the team.
  • Prepare reports on account status.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.

SPECIFIC SKILLS

  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role.
  • Possess a clear understanding of Mass Marketing, Big Box, and Consumer Goods.
  • Passionate, creative and solution-driven
  • Able to serve as a role model and uphold the LiveTrends Design Group purpose, vision and values.
  • Demonstrated strong history of commercial growth in current/ most recent position in the last three years.
  • High level of expertise in data, pricing, and information analysis.
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel and Power Point).
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for design, fashion, and home décor a big plus

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-Time
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Able to follow a fluctuating work schedule, based on departmental and period closing requirements.
  • Observe all company Policies and Procedures.
  • Repeat the same movements.
  • Required to sit for long periods of time, as well as talk and hear, both in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Able to regularly walk or stand and occasionally be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Dress code is business casual.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work generally is performed in an office environment, although periodic visits to the various sites may be required.
  • Noise level in the typical office work environment is quiet.
