Position Summary

The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for supporting human resource functions for a highly-specialized residential, PHP and IOP behavioral healthcare treatment center. Duties include recruitment, on-boarding/off-boarding, reporting, supporting training and development, and employee engagement. The Human Resource Coordinator provides internal customer service providing information to employees, interns, and contractors regarding HR policies and procedures. Position maintains a high level of engagement with and customer service for employees.

Relationships and Contacts

Within the organization: Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with all employees.

Outside the organization: Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with applicants, Colleges/Universities, and human resource vendors.

Position Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Assists with implementation and administration of human resource related initiatives under the direction of the Human Resources Director.
  2. Responds to HR inquiries in a timely manner, escalating items though appropriate channels when necessary.
  3. Maintains accurate and confidential personnel records ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  4. Assists with maintaining HRIS ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and compiles reports from database, as needed.
  5. Conducts recruitment efforts utilizing applicant tracking system, places internal and external job announcements.
  6. Coordinates and facilitates new employee/intern orientation and onboarding processes.
  7. Coordinates and communicates bi-weekly payroll related items to the network Payroll Specialist.
  8. Assists with maintaining and distributing organizational charts.
  9. Enrolls new employees in all related human resources and benefits systems.
  10. Monitors dates for compliance with performance review dates, certifications, license, etc.
  11. Processes retirement plan enrollments, contributions and terminations.
  12. Collaborates with managers to ensure timely and appropriate performance management to include 90-day and annual reviews, and competency evaluations.

Education and Experience

Position requires an Associates degree or equivalent, Bachelors preferred, or equivalent in a related field and 2+ years experience in Human Resources.

Other Requirements

Position requires incumbent to have a valid drivers license, vehicle insurance and a clear driving record for the last three years
