FULL-TIME ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

GIL HYATT CONSTRUCTION, is an established General Contractor specializing in fast-track commercial construction projects. We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated and hardworking Accounting Assistant.

(WE ARE ONLY CONSIDERING LOCAL CANDIDATES)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Accounting Team with Project Accounting related tasks, as needed
  • Risk Management (COI's)
  • NTO's
  • Scan invoices received via mail
  • Follow-up with Vendors on requested documents (i.e. Releases)
  • AP
  • AR
  • Credit Card reconciliation
  • Maintain complete accounting project files, electronically
  • Ad hoc reports, as needed
  • Any other duties as requested by management

Requirements:

  • Prior construction experience required
  • Prior accounting experience required
  • Job costing experience required
  • Ability to perform in fast pace environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Organize and prioritize/multi-tasking
  • Attention to details
  • Owner/Vendor relationship skills
  • Work with Controller, Accounting Staff, Project Team and all Company personnel to ensure goals are met
  • Must be able to pass a Drug Screen and Criminal Background Check
