TOTAL MD is looking for a medical receptionist/chiropractic assistant to join our team in our West Palm Beach office. Our providers deliver family medicine, urgent care, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, occupational surgery, chiropractic medicine, physical therapy, pain management, laboratory testing, digital x-ray, and high-field MRI.

Chiropractic assistants work under the supervision of a fully licensed and accredited Chiropractor while assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care management by performing various office duties. Provides scheduling and registration service for providers, patients, and staff within the department, needing services, procedures, tests and appointments. Ensures appropriate reimbursement for services. Provides outstanding customer service and satisfaction ensuring all patients feel welcome. Enables easy, convenient access to the services they need in a friendly, efficient and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Intake and chart documentation of general diagnostic information. Coordinates providers schedule and other related information to maintain effective working relationships in the delivery of patient care. Demonstrates professional customer service and focused behavior at all times, including manner of communication, responsibility, and appearance. Observes department policies and procedures, environment and infection control standards. Assist with front desk duties which may include, but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling, checking in/out patients, faxing, etc.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be personable with a professional demeanor. Abides by HIPAA laws regarding sharing of personal medical information. Observes OSHA regulations including principles of standard precautions. Must be able to multitask, be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to use good judgment and utilize independent decision-making skills to effectively problem solve, resolve issues and facilitate department efficiency and productivity. Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and to maintain flexibility in response to constantly changing demands.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
