Job description

Summary - Location is in Fort Myers, Florida - Banking Office

Prepare the necessary documentation for all new and renewed loan closings. Accurately prepare disclosures required by compliance regulations for applicable loan transactions.
Obtain and document all pre-closing and post-closing conditions. Assist in the daily functions of the loan operations department. Input the loan transaction data on the mainframe system and maintain the bank's loan portfolio. Assist customers and other bank personnel with questions pertaining to loans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Accurately prepare loan documents required to close an approved loan transaction

(consumer, commercial, residential and equity lines).
2. Gather information from lending officer, customer and third parties to assist in the documentation of the loan; i.e., order appraisals, surveys, credit reports, title insurance, and flood determinations, contact customer's insurance company for verification and addition of Bank's mortgagee clause.

3. Accurately prepare documents and entries for booking.
4. Accurately input of loans on the core system.
5. Set-up, organize and maintain loan files.
6. Assist in accurate preparation of credit approvals forms.
7. Logging/filing of negotiable collateral in dual control vault.
8. Follow-up and update Exception Report (tickler) for post-closing documentation in a timely manner.
9. Daily processing and balancing of payments and draws on lines of credit, as assigned.
10. Daily GL balancing, as assigned.
11. Assist with annual escrow analysis and payment of real estate taxes, as assigned.
12. Process paid out loans, as assigned.
13. Order inspections on construction loans and gather pertinent information with respect to the draw, as assigned.
14. Timely follow-up for insurance renewals and create a tickler system for insurance when received.
15. Assist supervisor with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for the Board of Directors.
16. Working knowledge of the Loan Policy, especially lending authorities, and aware of audit and dual control policies.
17. Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
18. Project and maintain the positive image and reputation of Edison National Bank to the public and co-workers.
19. Comply with federal and state laws, as well as internal policies and procedures including Edison National Bank's program for Consumer Protection Regulations
Community Reinvestment and the Bank Secrecy Act.

20. Willingness to attend schools, seminars and meetings to keep abreast of laws, regulations, and services, as needed.

21. Adopt Edison National Bank's philosophies and adhere to the "Better Way" program.
22. Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.
23. May be required to work at other office locations.
24. Regular attendance according to work schedule.

Job Requirements

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent.
2. Three (3) years banking experience and a working knowledge of residential mortgage loans and loan operations relative to lending and loan documentation requirements for specific loan closings, i.e. consumer, commercial, residential and equity lines.

3. Knowledgeable of federal and state regulations relating to the lending functions of the bank.

4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Silverlake/Jack Henry is desirable.

5. Attention to detail and accuracy with ability to work well under pressure.
6. Must exercise initiative and altertness.
7. Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Good organizational skills and ability to establish priorities and meet timelines.
9. Good written and oral communication skills.

10. Computer literate, typing skills and ability to operate a 10-key calculator.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger or handle and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
