SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Vacatia partners with timeshare and condo Homeowner Associations (HOA) to offer residential stays with the space of a home and services of a hotel to traveling families. The VP of Partner Financial Services is responsible for financial reports and analysis for each property including annual budgets, monthly, quarterly, year-end financials, management reports, and supporting annual audits of HOAs.

This role provides for a unique opportunity to integrate finance, sales, technology, and customer service. Accounting deliverables for our HOA partners is a meaningful revenue generator for the company, and we are looking for a candidate that is experienced overseeing a revenue producing finance division that serviced hundreds of clients. This department also supports our internal resort operations team who are dependent on the financial reporting to properly manage the property and receive approval for funds for capex improvements.

The VP of Partner Financial Services must be comfortable leveraging technology to increase their team's efficiency and provide clear financial analysis to both internal and external clients. The financial deliverables and customer-oriented communication is instrumental to growing the company.

We are flexible on location, but prefer San Francisco Bay Area, Denver, CO, Tampa, FL, Orlando, FL, or Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This role will require frequent travel to meet both internal and external clients.

EXPERIENCE:

The VP of Partner Financial Services should have:

-- 5+ years of experience in property accounting in residential, hospitality, HOAs OR in serving multiple clients in a financial setting such as an accounting firm, wealth management or other financial client based services.

-- Ability to manage small teams of accountants and contractors performing daily transactions, month end closes, cash and accrual accounting, reserve management, annual budgets and detailed analysis.

-- Knowledge of deploying and managing accounting related software applications such as QuickBooks Online, Expensify, Bill.com, Excel/Sheets or similar financial/property management tools.

-- Experience working closely with software developers or modern SaaS tools to streamline financial reporting and analysis.

-- Highly skilled in developing or optimizing operational processes, and has experience reducing the number of days to close the books

-- Comfortable communicating with HOA boards, Vacatia management and property managers to assist in completing pre-close and close activities, answer questions, provide support, and ensure timely completion of accounting analysis for reporting.

-- CPA preferred, MBA or strong financial acumen with the ability to understand hospitality operating statements, industry accounting practices and compliance.

-- Experience creating policies & processes with a focus on internal controls

-- Experience with newly formed or rapidly growing companies is a plus.

EDUCATION and SKILLS:

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Management or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
  • Excellent verbal, written communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $84,688.00 - $258,999.00 per year
