Job description
Nurse Educator utilizes experience in simulation, curriculum design, teaching, clinical expertise and scholarly research to maximize student and faculty experiences. Translate nursing theory and practice standards into a suite of interconnected products. Responsible for aspects of clinical relevance, product adherence to current evidence-based practice, and assurance of educational best practices integration. Works with multiple teams in the development and improvement of product content.
Clinical Objectives
* Provide nursing expertise in the development of new products and improvement of existing products
* Evaluate medical accuracies of SME recommendations against student and faculty expectations
* Identify opportunities for improvement within existing products
Educational Objectives
* Monitoring of product medical problems and treatments to ensure the most current evidence is being utilized
* Manage connections with subject matter experts across products to ensure delivery of their expertise as needed
* Participate in scholarly research endeavors (attend nursing educator conferences on innovations in learning, simulation strategies, clinical best practices, publish in scientific journals, present at conferences, etc…)
Cross-Functional Objectives
* To understand how to maximize learning of our student and faculty customers, the Nurse Educator will become proficient in customer and product knowledge
* Learning Agile methodology and Scaled Agile Framework is a component to accomplish cross-functional objectives
* Development of customer and product knowledge includes
* Customer knowledge is developed by reviewing training team's faculty onboarding conversations and webinars, sales team's existing and prospective customer conversations, support teams student issues, student DCE transcripts, SME feedback, student and faculty testing, in-game net-promoter based surveys, advisory board feedback, attending customer conferences
* Product knowledge is developed by completing each DCE assignment across all products, attending team's daily cross functional meetings, actively participating in each team's bi-monthly review and retro, navigating the Faculty Resource Center, reviewing the monthly emailed customer newsletter, identifying new product features and upcoming improvements of existing products.
Education & Experience
* Required Master of Science in Nursing
* Preferred PhD or DNP in Nursing
* Preferred Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and Certified Nurse Educator (CNE)
* Current licensure as APRN
* Teaching experience at the nursing graduate level (clinical areas)
* Recent clinical practice (APRN level)
* Experience in content development
* Experience in simulation development and integration within nursing curriculum
