The Escrow Administration Department is responsible for timely and accurate tracking of insurance policies and payment of insurance premiums. The escrow analysis function is accountable for analyzing the borrower's escrow account at least once a year. The analysis is necessary to ensure that the borrower's current monthly escrow payment is sufficient to provide the funds necessary to pay the escrowed items on their various due dates throughout the year. The Escrow Analysis Specialist is responsible for generating escrow analyses on complex escrow accounts in compliance with applicable regulations and BLS company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performs individual modification escrow analyses;
- Reviews assigned escrow reports including, but not limited to:
- EAP Advance Report o EAP Zero Escrow Balance with Escrow Payment Report o Bankruptcy Annual Analysis/Advance/Exceptions Report
- Loans with Negative Escrow Balances and Escrow Payments (No Analysis) Report
- Newly Added Loans o Surplus Analysis
- Collects data on escrow portions for loan modification workouts; supplies data to Loss Mitigation and Modifications groups;
- Coordinates efforts with insurance and tax processors to ensure accurate and timely escrow analyses;
- Conducts data to document reviews for: insurance verifications, commercial and residential insurance documentation, property appraisal and subsequent inspections;
- Researches and responds to incoming internal and external audit requests and inquiries;
- Increases others' skills or knowledge through capable instruction and training;
- Completes miscellaneous duties and project tasks as assigned by senior management; and
- Reviews exception reports and ensures exceptions are cleared timely as needed;
