Position Summary:
We are seeking a human resources assistant/coordinator to support our corporate Human Resources Department. This exciting role is the face of Brooks Human Resources and interacts with our employees in person and/or with phone communication. We invite you to join our award-winning and growing organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs clerical support responsibilities of the Human Resources (HR) department
  • Greets visitors and answers incoming calls
  • Ensures the timely resolution of any problems, telephonically, email or in person
  • Assists with HR mailbox under direction of HR Generalist(s)
  • Processes required reports
  • Processes incoming/outgoing mail
  • Clerical duties to include filing, copying, supply inventory and other duties as assigned
  • Upkeep of employee files
  • Responds to verification of employment requests
  • Initiates ID badges for new hires, takes employees pictures, and transmits for processing
  • Maintains professional ethics, confidentiality, and privacy of employee information
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • AA degree in related field preferred with 1 year of clerical/customer service/HR experience OR minimum of 4 years of clerical /HR/ customer service experience required
  • Basic knowledge of HR processes and laws preferred
  • Familiarity with HR platforms such as Oracle, Kronos, ADP, iCims a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, adhere to deadlines, multitask, and work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service focus
  • Comfortable working with employees in different locations
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
