The role

Our finance team is seeking an experienced Manager of Tax Accounting and Compliance to join our finance team. The Manager will report to the Tax Director and lead a team to drive several key initiatives across the team.

What You'll Do

  • Tax Provision Preparation and Analysis: Responsible for the preparation and coordination of the federal, state, local and foreign income tax accounting process to ensure accurate tax amounts are reported in the Company's financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Ensure adherence with SOX 404 documentation for tax accounting controls and related enhancements where necessary.
  • Influences tax compliance transformation by identifying and implementing tools that allow for continuous improvement and efficiency; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
  • Prepares or coordinates Federal, State & Local Tax Return Preparation and Analysis: Ensure accurate and timely compliance with federal, state, and local income/franchise tax laws and regulations-including, estimates, extensions, etc.
  • Assist in Analysis of Tax Planning Opportunities
  • M&A Analysis
  • Assist with tax audits and inquiries and other areas, as needed.
  • Conduct tax research, draw conclusions, and prepare technical memorandums to support tax positions
  • Monitor legislation and judicial proceedings for relevant tax law changes.
  • Work with cross functional teams to further understand business processes and to educate others on tax related items.
  • Support financial modeling in strategic and operational tax planning
Nice To Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS in Tax or C.P.A. preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 6+ years of corporate tax experience with public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or financial institution tax department
  • International, multistate and flow-through experience preferred
What You'll Need
  • Possess an understanding of ASC 740 principles, as well as federal and state tax concepts
  • Strong computer skills utilizing MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity or experience with advance technology tools such as Alteryx, Power Pivot/Bi and Tableu.
  • Eagerness to learn
  • High attention to detail and can drive projects to completion in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Inventive, resourceful and have remarkable analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Can communicate sophisticated tax concepts in ways that are meaningful to non-tax professionals
  • Financial and/or Tech Sector experience
  • Experience with Netsuite a plus
  • Experience managing and developing high performing and engaged teams
  • Self-starter and highly collaborative with strong work ethic
  • Dedication to providing high quality work
  • Able to work seamlessly with different parties and departments
