Position Summary:

FAU Campus Recreation is seeking CR Lifeguards - Jupiter, FL.

Aquatic center Lifeguards are primarily responsible for guest safety. This includes maintaining equipment, enforcing guidelines, member service and keeping areas clean and well organized. CR Lifeguards report to the Assistant Director of Facility Operations.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:

• Open and close pool, depending on schedule and hours.
• Responsible to act as first responder in the event of an emergency.
• Monitor activities in the pool or on the pool deck closely and identify any safety issues.
• Observe weather to ensure guest safety.
• Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool.
• Provide assistance to patrons when appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Current FAU degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.5 GPA or greater.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.

Must also have excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.

Salary:
$11.00 per hour

Work Days and Hours:
Monday - Saturday, between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., for 7 hours weekly.
