Location: Lakeland, FL

Overview

HR business partner and project leader responsible for human resource department documentation, onboarding materials, and support of new business and other company initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvements in HR processes

• Create and maintain documentation of HR processes including workflow charts, job aids, and other visual guides

• Develop onboarding materials for field HR new hires

• Facilitate training for new hires in field HR

• Audit HR practices to ensure compliance with established processes and guidelines

• Educate teams on company and legal requirements and ensure compliance across HR functions

• Provide guidance to field HR associates

• Assist with start-ups and other HR projects as needed

• Routinely travels between facilities (up to 50% overnight travel as needed)

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, PHR preferred

• At least 5 years of experience in HR roles with increasing responsibilities some of which must have included HR generalist responsibilities

• Previous support of multi-state operations preferred

• Experience working in a non-union environment and executing union avoidance measures and tactics

• Experience in logistics, manufacturing or similar industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Previous experience of auditing processes preferred

• Highest standards of integrity, excellence, teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement

• Proven ability to influence all levels of HR teams, Management and other associates

• Self-starter with a strategic viewpoint

• Ability to identify issues and implement solutions

• Ability to anticipate and analyze problems, resolve issues through creative problem solving and manage multiple projects with changing priorities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to tailor those to the audience

• Knowledge of labor and employment law, and the ability to interpret, apply and articulate this knowledge in support of business initiatives

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge or experience in Workday preferred.
