• Proficient in Excel, Access, Word, GL, Property Tax

Day to Day

The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for (1) timely compliance of all indirect state and local taxes, including gross receipts, tangible personal property, sales, use, or any other type of governmental fee, assessment, or charge; (2) in conjunction with the IT Department and external vendors, maintenance of the property tax compliance (currently OneSource); (3) assist in data collection for indirect tax planning, compliance, and audit, (4), Assist in the collection of workpapers and tax data for state audits; and (5) any other department tasks that may be assigned.

1. Tax compliance: Prepare tax returns and their required schedules and supporting documentation for property, sales/use, gross receipts, and other indirect returns and reports in a timely, accurate manner; arrange for payments to be made to taxing and other authorities in a timely, accurate manner. Analyze property tax billings against return filings and prepare payment requests. The company has significant volume in these areas. As such, this position requires not only accuracy, but speed that comes only with significant experience and ability.

1. (1) Management and process of personal property assessment notices and process payment of property tax bills - or protests when necessary; (2) responsible for tracking and calculating tax savings realized as a result of appeals; (3) preparing schedules for the Company's outside auditors.

1. Audit: Assist tax manager in the preparation and administration of sales/use and property tax audits. This includes (1) the fulfillment of information documentation requests, (2) drafting of audit questionnaires responses as required.
