About the Position:

Protis Global in partnership with Copalli Rum is looking for a Market Manager located in South Florida to build the Copalli brand in Florida. Reporting to the Head of Sales, this Market Manager will be responsible for the sales performance and for brand building. A successful candidate will gain high quality points of distribution, cocktail menus / features, displays, have strong key account management, and will plan and execute effective consumer / trade events. All those activities will help to deliver the depletion goals.

Developing close and effective relationships by adding value to the SGWS Signature Division is key. The right person will also identify, cultivate, educate, and motivate key brand influencers; particularly bartenders, managers, and owners of On and Off Premise target accounts; and spirits opinion-makers.


About the Company:

Copalli is an organic, single estate rum with a sustainable, farm to bottle operation. Our award-winning rum is made from just three ingredients: fresh pressed sugar cane juice, canopy water, & yeast. Along with our 17-room luxury eco-lodge, our organic farm (the 1st certified farm in Belize), and our chocolate operation, we are the largest employer in Southern Belize providing over 120 jobs. The distillery sits at the base of the rainforest in Southern Belize has been donated in trust to fund environmental and educational programs for the people of Belize in perpetuity.

Qualifications & Training

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry with minimum 2 years' experience as a spirits supplier representative.
  • Solid understanding of the FL On-Premise business including current relationships with key stakeholders in the On-Premise community
  • Strong financial acumen; understanding of pricing, ROI on programing, and budget management.
  • Self-motivated, driven, independent, entrepreneurial.
  • Hospitality experience a plus.
  • A confident public speaker with in-depth spirits knowledge
  • A solid human being that enjoys working in teams and that brings solutions to problems.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends.
  • Can lift and carry a spirits bag and able to lift and move cases of rum.


Tasks & Responsibilities

  • This role is charged with driving the successful growth and expansion of Client in the state of Florida.
  • The early focus will be to continue building the brand with a priority on the South Florida & Tampa areas.
  • Finding success will likely come in a variety of ways including:
  • Inspiring the SGWS Signature Division to increase focus on Client. How do we do that?:
  • By independently and consistently being very active in the market selling directly to accounts. Your individual success will breed additional success with Signature reps.
  • Providing consistent, best-in-class follow-up to accounts and Signature team members as opportunities arise.
  • Finding ways to educate both Signature members and the trade on the Client story and key attributes.
  • Leveraging relationships within the FL On-Premise community (as well as developing new relationships).
  • This Market Manager will need to collaboratively direct and work with two FL part time Brand Ambassadors to increase key On Premise stakeholders' advocacy for Client.
  • There's also the other standard stuff that comes with running a market like planning, inventory management, writing incentives, QBR's, booking tastings, etc…


Location & Travel:

· Must live in South FL (Miami preferred)

· Must have own transportation

· Travel within state anticipated at 75% SFL, 20% Tampa/Orlando area, 5% NFL.

· Approx. 2X per year travel to CA or NY to help with Blitz


Compensation:

· Salary range $90,000-$115,000 base dependent on experience in South Florida

· 20% bonus (based on hitting vol/distribution/KPI goals)
