Job description

Mechanical Assembler Position:
A Mechanical Assembler will use a variety of hand/power tools, fixtures, work instructions and Electrical/Mechanical schematics to assemble Product Inspection equipment while meeting our safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow detailed Mechanical schematics, prints, parts lists, assembly instructions, processes and procedures
  • Construct product inspection equipment in accordance with Risk Assessment and Safe Electrical/Mechanical guidelines
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and material to Assembly Lead and/or Assembly Manager
  • Document actions by completing quality checklists
  • Work with Engineering to understand our process capabilities and develop ideas that reduce costs and improve quality
  • Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing function
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Accurately track and record time spent on projects
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Follow detailed electrical schematics, parts lists, assembly instructions, processes and procedures
  • Occasionally lefts and/or moves up to 50lbs
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Minimum Education / Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years Electrical Assembly experience
