Unique Vacations Inc., an affiliate of the worldwide representative for the brands of luxury all-inclusive resort leader Sandals Resorts International - including couples-only Sandals Resorts and family-friendly Beaches Resorts, is seeking an experienced public relations pro to lead the in-house media relations team, establishing practices and building assets to support all external publicity efforts including management of contracted agencies. Ideal candidates will have at least ten years' experience including tenure at an established public relations agency, preferably serving clients in the travel and hospitality industry

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Oversee internal and external Media Relations team

· Craft story narratives, pitch media outlets, developing relationships with key media, and manage external PR firms

· Lead the development of company-wide and internal communications objective

· Assist in the creation of PR plans, press materials, media Alerts and Executive Messaging

· Work in conjunction with social media team to co-develop relevant messaging and campaigns

· Facilitation of company press events

EXPERIENCE:

Outlined below are the academic qualifications and length and type of experience deemed necessary by Unique Vacations Inc., in order to perform the role of Copywriter competently.

· Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferred, in Public Relations, Journalism or related communications field

· Experience: At least ten years of experience to include tenure with an inhouse Public Relations department or agency.

· Able to successfully lead teams and large scale projects

· Candidate should possess strong writing skills, ability to identify and pitch story concepts, develop strong media relationships.
