Field Training Manager - Travel 90%

As a Field Training Manager, your mission is to enhance the productivity, engagement and retention of the field workforce through effective 1-on-1 training, mentoring and continued education programs. We are a fast-growing, dynamic company and we need a strategic thinker to help train and retain effective teams and work with these team members to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate would analyze our current teams and technicians and propose holistic solutions to better retain our people and make our teams more productive.

Your position will report to the Director of People and live within the People Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement new technicians 30-day plan for success.
  • Focus on 1-on-1 training and mentorship.
  • Create and present technical, safety, process, system, and interpersonal training.
  • Deliver initial technician assessment profile to Project Leaders at end of training period.
  • Collaborate with team members on improving training & installation processes.
  • Analyze current standard operating procedures for technicians and other processes and propose improvements.
  • Create remote training solutions for technicians, if in-person training is not available.
  • Support the recruiting team in the hiring process, where necessary.
  • Achieve training, retention and engagement KPIs.
  • Travel regularly to projects all over the United States.

What You'll Need:

  • A proven track record in training and working with management on employee success.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 90% of the time.
  • Proficiency in LED lighting, energy conservation, water conservation, and/or HVAC.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to take on a task, break down into actionable components, formulate a plan, execute with a team, and clearly communicate regular progress.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and GSuite is required.
  • An understanding of OSHA safety standards.
  • Experience with Salesforce and project management systems are a plus.
  • A passion for people and improving employees' well-being.
