Our Opportunity: This position is responsible for the development, testing and documentation of operational procedures for both new and existing menu items and ingredients on the Burger King menu. The position serves as a subject matter expert on product and packaging standards and procedures, providing guidance to internal marketing and operations teams, franchise operators and the BKC field team. The BKC Operations R&D Manager plays a critical role in the market testing process, frequently interacting with the Culinary and Marketing teams to gain insight into the objectives of new products and then developing operational procedures that allow restaurant teams to deliver the products consistently. The R&D Manager will frequently travel to market test locations to monitor the execution of the products and procedures and make modifications as needed. Using a combination of ops metrics, observations during the test, and feedback from the field, a final operational recommendation for system launch of the new product and related procedures is formulated and delivered to leadership. Roles and Responsibilities: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects with competing time frames, while doing so with limited supervision Must be able to effectively communicate with and influence a wide range of individuals and teams, including restaurant team members, multi-unit managers, restaurant owners, and department/executive teams and their leadership to successfully accomplish his or her objectives Must demonstrate strong analytical & problem solving skills for both written data and direct observation in the kitchen environment. The successful Ops R&D Manager is a creative problem solver with the ability to quickly determine multiple solutions that are realistic and actionable Required Skills: Bachelors degree.
