Requirements: Work with the general counsel, external affairs and business stakeholders to ensure both existing and new offerings and operations comply with privacy and data security obligations Work with legal counsel and management, key departments and committees to ensure the organization has and maintains appropriate privacy consent and disclosures reflecting current organization and legal practices and requirements Coordinate with the appropriate regulating bodies, as required Operationalize privacy compliance efforts Partner with business teams and senior management to ensure awareness of best practices on privacy and data security issues Partner with senior management to establish an organization-wide Privacy Steering Committee Provide strategic guidance regarding data privacy Partner with the datasecurity officertodevelop and implement aglobalinformation security infrastructure Develop privacy training materials and other communications to increase employeeawarenessof company privacy policies, data handling practices and procedures and legal obligations Provide leadership in the planning, design and evaluation of privacy and security related projects Establish an internal privacy audit program Develop and manage procedures for vetting and auditing vendors for compliance with the privacy and data security policies and legal requirements Manage the privacy incident response process Conduct periodic information privacy impact assessments and ongoing compliance monitoring activities in coordination with the organization's other compliance and operational assessment functions Develop and manage enterprise-wide procedures to ensure the development of new products and services is consistent with company privacy policies and legal obligations Requirements: 8+ years of substantive privacy legal or compliance experience Expertise and demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant data privacy laws and regulations to global operations, including, but not limited to,CCPA, PIPEDA, GDPR and LGPD Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education required Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school preferred Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification preferred Restaurant Brands International and all of its affiliated companies (collectively, RBI) are equal opportunity and affirmative action employers that do not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, provincial or federal laws, rules, or regulations.
