Job description

Overview

Responsible for performing Accounts Receivable and related tasks. Supports the accounting team by assisting in general ledger, customer accounts maintenance, and any other task associated with the accounting department.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily balancing of Accounts Receivable with sales, collections, and adjustments
  • Maintaining up-to-date billing system by generating and timely sending out invoices
  • Receiving, processing customer payments, and following up on any discrepancies
  • Analyzing and reconciling Accounts Receivable Aging to the GL
  • Monitoring customer account details and payment irregularities
  • Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
  • Receiving and responding to customer calls and emails for accounts receivable questions
  • Maintaining and reconciling Other Accounts Receivables
  • Assisting with month-end closing and special projects related to the accounting department
  • Collect data and prepare monthly metrics
  • Performing other administrative duties associated with the position
  • Protecting organization's value by keeping information confidential

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • associate degree (required)/bachelor's degree (preferred) with emphasis in accounting or equivalent
  • knowledge of accounts receivable
  • knowledge of office administration and procedures
  • knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
  • knowledge of basic accounting principals
  • experience and proficient working with QuickBooks and relevant software
  • knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • 3-5 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
