Job description

Responsible for student staff recruitment, selection, on-boarding, evaluation processes, and visionary oversight of student leadership initiatives within residence life.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Manage all recruitment and selection efforts for 300+ undergraduate student staff members in three different staff positions including developing marketing and recruitment strategies, facilitating candidate informational sessions, updating and reviewing all applications for over 1000+ applicants annually, coordinating interviews, and facilitating selection between 47 supervisors.
  • Chairing the Student Staff Selection committee, and ensuring effective and efficient recruitment, selection, on-boarding and separation practices.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate one Graduate Assistant and five undergraduate students.
  • Responsible for direct management of a $67,000 budget for student leadership and staff selection.
  • Advise the Residence Hall Association (RHA), National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH), and oversee the community area councils.
  • Chair the Student Leadership Committee and oversee all residence life leadership initiatives.
  • Oversee planning, development, and implementation of the annual week-long Housing Leadership Institute.
  • Assist the Assistant Director for Residence Life & Education with the recruitment and selection efforts of residence life professional staff.
  • Coordinate, prepare, for and attend student leadership conferences with delegations.
