Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of systems including servers, storage, network equipment/services, IT security equipment and services. Additionally the Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring all systems are properly backed up and patched to meet Kessler Collection policies.

    -Escalation Point for IT Support Specialist
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    -Self-motivated.
    -Excellent problem solving skills.
    -Ability to work well in a highly dynamic environment, and efficiently multi-task.
    -Ability to effectively manage third-party vendors for support of various systems.
    -Good oral and written communication skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    -2-year IT-related degree required, with a 4-year degree preferred.
    -Ten plus years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
    -Expert-level hands-on Active Directory skills.
    -Five plus years of hands-on server hardware and Operating System experience with Windows Server 2.
    -Five plus years of working experience with various storage including SANs, NAS, and DAS.
    -Five plus years of working with backup software including Backup Exec, and/or Net Backup.
    -Three plus years of working virtualization experience including VmWare and/or Hyper-V.
    -Hands-on working experience with systems patching including WSUS.
    -Hands-on working experience with network switches including configuration of VLANs. HP & Cisco preferred.
    -Previous working experience with PCI-DSS standards.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    - No Direct Reports
WORK ENVIRONMENT

    -Candidate must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
    -Candidate must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.
    -Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
    -This position frequently interacts in person, email, phone, cell phone and Skype with owners, corporate executives, property level leadership and external vendors.
    -This position maintains direct contact with external vendors on behalf of the company, and may be required to host meetings and/or attend industry related events.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    - The Systems Engineer position can be physically demanding at times and may require lifting of up to 40 pounds without assistance.
