Applied Research Associates, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Business Development Engineer - Navy. This position requires an individual who has excellent communication skills, requires little supervision, and shows strong initiative. The successful candidate will have strong Navy relationships within Strategic Systems or Weapons Programs. The right candidate will have experience testing and sustaining combat systems as well as the ability to manage projects and/or programs. Ability to interface with clients as well as work directly with and as an engineer to perform assigned tasks. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
This is a REMOTE position to work anywhere in the USA with travel to Corporate for training and then as necessary thereafter
- Possess advanced skills and experience in Navy sustainment, Logistics, Maintenance, Acquisition processes and procedures.
- Have a SME knowledge and experience with coordination of plans, documents, reports and data bases and understand / perform effectiveness analysis.
- Have strong working knowledge / interfaces of Navy Nuclear Operations.
- Weapon Systems Knowledge (Nuclear platforms).
- Develop concepts of operation & interface standards.
- Provide systems engineering expertise focusing on requirements analysis, concept/technology development, risk assessments and test & evaluation for strategic deterrent systems.
- Utilize tools to analyze weapon system capabilities and to assist in the development of future weapon system requirements.
- Participate in design and requirements reviews.
- Provide domain expertise while conducting research, studies, and analysis on current and future weapons system capabilities and performance, as well as provide supporting data and associated recommendations to advise program sponsors.
- Deliver formal presentations to sponsors and supporting contractors, and effectively communicate proposed concepts/solutions and analysis results.
- Establish, cultivate and maintain relationships with U.S. and International Navy customers, influencers and key opinion leaders to gain a detailed understanding of their future requirements and needs.
- Conduct all business in strict compliance with all corporate command media and applicable state, federal, and international regulations.
Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen with a CURRENT security clearance.
- Have strong working knowledge / interfaces of Navy Nuclear Operations.
- Weapon Systems Knowledge (Nuclear platforms).
- Provide systems engineering expertise focusing on requirements analysis, concept/technology development, risk assessments and test & evaluation for strategic deterrent systems.
- Ability to travel to Corporate office for training upon hire and then as necessary thereafter.
Desired Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Nuclear Surety Certification
- Working Knowledge of Cyber Security Certification
- Skilled in Systems Engineering
