Introduction


Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for these two Parts Clerk / Hard Drive Tech positions, which are located in Orlando, FL (on-site) and must cover a shift from 7am - 3pm (flexible to some degree) and 10am - 7pm (not flexible).


Summary


The Parts Clerk primary function is to supply board repair techs/supervisors with the necessary part to repair non-proper functioning boards. Another function is receiving and stocking incoming parts inventory. Part Clerk informs the Purchasing Supervisor of low inventory on a daily basis and assists staff with parts related inquiries. She/he maintains the parts room in a neat and orderly fashion.

In addition, this position will be responsible for wiping hard drives and preparing them for re-installation on equipment.

Responsibilities
* Timely fulfillment of all incoming order requests from the technician staff using the CBRA system. These items are placed on the pick-up shelf and kept track of for signature. If parts remain on shelf longer than 3 hours, send message to technician reminding him or her of their parts still awaiting pick up.
* Retrieve all incoming (UPS and other transporters) shipments from the Receiving Department. Check in Purchase order, receive in system and put away parts.
* Review and then advise Purchasing Supervisor of any discrepancies of parts receipts as well as inspection for shortage and/or damage.
* Review all emails 'request for replacement/ item will not be completed ' forms in a timely manner checking stock availability at OEM, stock availability and Part set to allow drop available.
* Process all 'Drop Ship' Purchase orders to OEM
* Back up Parts Supervisor with the tracing of all previous day Drop ships with OEM as well as Parts order arrivals
* Inform Purchasing Supervisor/ Inventory Control Manager of low stock on Inventory Parts, Janitorial Supplies and Office Supplies.
* Maintain the Parts Room in a neat and orderly fashion. This includes bin maintenance as well as floor sweeping.
* Material Requisitions for wall stock, desk stock, office stock and other items as shown on the internal accounts document weekly. Accuracy must be adhered to in order that the correct account is used on the requisition.
* Assist in the Parts Room inventory held biannually.
* Assist the Purchasing Supervisor / Inventory Control Manager on special projects when needed.
* Perform other duties as instructed by Parts Supervisor. Purchasing Manager and Inventory Control Manager.

This is a fairly entry level position, with perhaps a little experience in electronics / computer repair, attention to detail and ability to maintain parts inventory system.
Job Requirements

* High school diploma, some college preferred.
* Knowledge of electronic components and cross-referencing of electronic components is a plus, with some minimal computer hardware installation experience preferred.
* Experience with inventory control processes.
* Intermediate computer skills with an above average level of attention to detail.
* Excellent oral, written, mathematical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and follow directions.
