Job description

Job Title: Principal Scientist, NK cell immunology or Immunology (L3-1)Kiadis, a Sanofi Company is seeking a highly motivated individual with solid training in NK cell biology or immunology to join our group located in Orlando, Florida, USA, as a Principal Scientist. This individual will apply strong scientific expertise and experience in immunology of NK cells using primary human cells to support the development of NK cell therapeutics in oncology. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment in early drug discovery with significant career development opportunity.Position Overview & Key Responsibilities:Work as part of a global research team to support the discovery and development to advance NK cell therapeutics for cancer immunotherapy.Follow directives and able to complete tasks and experiments expeditiously to meet project timeline and goals.Work in alignment with manager and project lead to independently plan, prepare study plans, design and perform experiments, establish protocols based on project needs perform experiments.Perform data analysis, interpret experimental results, prepare research reports/slide presentations and generate presentation materials to meet project objectives.Principal Scientists are responsible for performing a variety of laboratory procedures using established methods and techniques under general guidance while maintaining quality and HSE standards and policies.Principal Scientists are responsible for exhibiting an exceptional degree of sustained ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness while performing critical data analyses and preparing meaningful presentations for internal and external use.Document all experimental design, protocols, results and interpretations in electronic laboratory notebook in a timely manner.Present research findings and progress at project team meetings.Basic Qualifications:Master's Degree plus minimum 7 years of relevant research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical setting OR PhD plus minimum 5 years of relevant research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical setting.Working experience with mammalian cell cultures, including primary human cells.Deep understanding of human immunobiology, especially NK cells and other lymphocyte populations cells.Hands-on experience in performing primary immune cell-based assays, including immunophenotyping, cell proliferation, cytotoxicity assays, and cytokine/chemokine profiling, utilizing multi-parameter flow cytometry and multiplex technologies.Experience in performing transcriptomic analysis is desired.Able to independently perform data analysis using basic software, such as FlowJo and GraphPad Prism.Working knowledge of cell culture systems, including cytokine measurements and other relevant techniques.Be able to effectively communicate and function independently in a highly collaborative, matrix environment.Must be self-motivated and data-driven.Must be able and willing to learn and incorporate new concepts and technologies.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in transcriptomics is strongly preferred.Prior experience in biopharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.Prior experience with immuno-oncology drug discovery, especially biologics, is strongly preferred.Understanding of immune cell signaling is preferred.Sanofi Inc. and its U.S. affiliates are Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employers committed to a culturally diverse workforce.
