Responsibilities:

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, and develop specifications and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Illustrative examples: Computer Applications Engineer, Computer Systems Engineer, Mobile Applications Developer, Software Applications Architect, Software Engineer, Systems Software Developer.

Qualifications - External

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience applying functional knowledge and experience to build applications utilizing web programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Node.js, AngularJS, C++, C#, Java, API's and .NET. three (3) years of experience utilizing best software development practices, writing, updating, and maintaining well designed, testable and efficiently coded applications to handle specific jobs such as data handling (CRUD), executing workflows or executing custom business rules.
• SQL and GUI project experience needed, along with database development.
• A.S. or B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, specializing in Software Engineering.
• An active Secret clearance is required
