Responsible for leading the bank's sales and business development, training team members, and a key player for sales integration of mergers and acquisitions. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Direct group responsibilities include the following lines of business: Commercial, Retail, Treasury, Wealth (including Trust and Private Banking), and the Homebuilder group.
- Directs, establishes, maintains, and plans the overall policies and goals for business development.
- Develops and maintains client relationships.
- Identifies potential business partners and will assist in negotiations.
- Works with other departments to ensure alignment of company goals, as set by senior management.
- Ensures business growth strategies are met.
- Develop sales processes on the strategies and tactics for a diverse group of departments.
- Proved industry specific training to participants
- Represent the company by attending trade shows as a vendor and speaker.
- Advise marketing in the development of industry specific materials.
- Represent the company in the education of association members thru webinars and lunch and learns.
- Manage the reporting of monthly pipeline and closings in SalesForce.
- Work with business partners to help identify additional products and services that add value to business within targeted segments.
- Generate significant new client relationships across the franchise with strong deposit, loan and fee production.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- The ability to build internal relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
- The ability to influence the thinking others towards a common vision.
- Experience in developing and teaching business to business sales process.
- Ability to speak in front of large groups of people.
- The ability to think outside the box for new methods of business development.
Industry and Work Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial banking sales.
- Direct experience in Balance Sheet & P&L budgeting & goal setting.
- Experience leading teams and driving business performance across multiple markets.
- Demonstrated community involvement at an executive level.
Academic:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required
