Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) seeks a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for a contract term at one of our biggest energy clients! This position requires that the selected candidate will work on site in Tampa, FL.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate business process modeling sessions.
• Construct and maintain business process models.
• Coach and mentor junior staff in the application of business process modeling techniques.
• Drive the collection and consolidation of required information and data in the creation of analysis documentation in accordance with the clients Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Participate in the creation of User Acceptance Test (UAT) plans during the Requirements Definition phase of the SDLC and review/validate UAT results for alignment with business requirements.
• Drives engagement with business partners to document detailed business requirements, for possible systems enablement (automation). Assist and support the IT&T development teams with the design and development of IT solutions.
• Practice and demonstrate proficiency in state-of-the-art business and systems modeling techniques.
• Drive the resolution to issues and notify appropriate management staff. Create and maintain logical data models for assigned Business Unit(s).
• Develop strong business and system knowledge relating to functional areas and assigned Business Unit(s).

Required:

• Advanced experience in Business Process Analysis and Modeling and experience in all phases of a SDLC (Systems Development Lifecycle) methodology.
• Knowledge of defined business processes.
• Working knowledge of business software applications and hardware technologies.
• Ability to learn, represent, and articulate business processes.
• Working knowledge of business applications and hardware technologies.
• Comprehends technical design specifications and possesses strong knowledge of IT development tools and technologies in support of an IT Architecture and Strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and describe the business environment in which a project exists.
• Ability to evaluate, interpret, create, and communicate structured representations of business requirements.
• Understands project plans and can clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines, in particular understanding and identification of critical path tasks and activities.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Business Process Modeling, and Entity Relational Modeling tools and Project Management software (i.e., MS Project) is required.

Preferred:

• Detailed knowledge of CGIs PragmaLine suite (OMS, CAD, etc.), PowerPlant, SAP, and Microsoft Technologies (SQL Server, BizTalk, Reporting Services, SharePoint, etc.) is a plus.
• An associate degree in the specified disciplines and 6 years of related experience.
• Preferred: Bachelors degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline and at least 2 years of experience, which includes systems analysis, design, and development.
• Must bring Agile Project experience, CSM is huge plus.
• Strong analytical experience
• Strong requirements writing experience
• Utility experience huge plus
• This BSA will be more dedicated to operational IT projects, Experience will be software infrastructure
• Strong presentation exp, working directly with stakeholders.
