Being a member of IT Product Management, and part of the Cloud Product Management team you will be a single point of accountability for a given set of IT products within Public Cloud Platforms and the face to the customer for these products. This role must understand the organization's workflow, processes and customer experience and ensure the IT products meets current and future needs. This role operates at the intersection of technology, tools, engineering, architecture, cost, and business value.
The IT Product Management team represents products and services to the IT organization for consumption and liaises between consumers and technical support teams to build roadmaps of new capabilities, set strategic direction for the future, and prioritize new requirements, new products, and new features to address our changing landscape. We enable internal customers to have their requirements met with timely solutions, and together, our products enable IT to deliver world-class solutions.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the IT Product roadmap of assigned product line and ensure it delivers expected business value.
Partner with engineering, architecture, and deployment Product Owners on delivering new blueprints or patterns that are architected, engineered, automated, and reusable with focus on AWS and Azure Cloud.
Partner with engineering, resiliency, and pipeline tools Product Owners to manage Cloud capability provisioning processes as a unified product.
Develop a positive relationship with business line leaders, IT members, and Business Product Management. Understand the business/process making sure IT Product roadmaps are meeting the needs of a constantly evolving business.
Collaborate across the organization to prioritize product initiatives partnering closely with IT and business product management.
Communicate the technology product roadmap to stakeholders
Product cost metrics and dashboards
Manage key initiatives to ensure achievement of critical milestones and results
Provide expert mentorship and critical analysis of proposed changes during design reviews and product demos with an eye towards simplicity of design, function, and reusability
Understand and incorporate regulatory, compliance, security, and controls requirements into product design for seamless consumption
Keep abreast of existing and emerging technologies impactful to our business
Mitigate risks by following established procedures, standards, policies, and supporting strong ethical behavior and enterprise leadership.
Talents Needed for Success:
Technical IT product management experience preferred with background in AWS public cloud
Bachelor's degree required with equivalent experience
Minimum of 7 years of IT or related IT product management experience including technical experience working in an agile environment with a solid grasp of cloud platforms, IT infrastructure, and product management concepts.
Minimum of 2 years of experience leading directly aligned, multi-disciplined squads, matrixed groups, or other large stakeholder groups needed for success
Experience building and delivering solutions with world-class security, reliability, and reusability
Knowledge of the financial services industry (technology, financial instruments, regulations, etc.) preferred
Highly motivated, with the ability to take initiative, set priorities and perform tasks with minimal guidance
Demonstrable ability to develop and manage multi-functional processes and ability to meet priorities and timelines through product manager - product owner relationships.
Background in public cloud preferred including AWS and Azure clouds.
Detailed practical knowledge and experience with IT infrastructure, Architecture, and partnering with Engineering and Pipeline Product Owners to develop new reusable blueprints or patterns demonstrating Infrastructure as Code (IAC) deployment methodologies, and modern CI/CD pipelines, tools, and IAC coding concepts to ensure pre-engineered, secured and automated provisioning.
Ability to drive and organize, whereby one can take a conceptual product idea, and deliver an end product that is fully compliant, secure, resilient, operationally viable and cost effective, that gets captured within a blueprint/pattern within an IT Product Catalog for consumption.
