Overview
As the Sr. BT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting annual planning, strategy, growth and metrics for the Business Technology (BT) organization. You will manage key processes and provide insights related to monthly reporting of close results, forecast, headcount and annual budget. You will identify and roll out process improvements, find areas for efficiency, streamline the IT Finance function, and champion process alignment by collaborating with leaders of the IT organization. This position plays a critical role as a thought partner with IT management in establishing and managing to certain KPIs, targets and metrics.
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
Partner with Finance and Accounting to lead, develop and manage the departmental IT budget (labor and non-labor) in conjunction with the various IT groups and Cost Center owners; aggregate and incorporate into an annual corporate forecast
Provide decision support with respect to operating models, investments in change initiatives, financial planning and developing innovative reporting to translate financial results into business impact
Manage the monthly forecast process to include reporting actuals, and working with Cost Center owners to develop accurate forecasts
Monitor financial performance, research variances, and identify risks and opportunities
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis of capital/expense trends and facilitate discussions on actions
Analyze headcount trends and related financial impact
Identifies areas for improvement and makes recommendations to optimize use of technology and resources against key metrics
Partner with Finance and Accounting to track and manage CapEx spend on fixed asset and internally developed software assets
Partner with Leadership on IT Total Cost of Ownership, Financial metrics, and cost transparency initiatives
Partner with the Vendor and Contracting Manager on technology software licenses/subscriptions and assets with associated cost and allocation models
Support the coordination of asset, vendor, and contract management activities and tracking
Effectively communicate financial information to executive level leadership and develop executive level presentations
This is the role for you if:
You have previously held a position in an IT financial management capacity
You have a solid understanding of an IT organization
You have experience planning IT budgets, ROI's, building out models, IT headcount, etc.
Qualifications
You should reach out if:
You hold a Bachelor's Degree (required)
You have a minimum 8 years' experience in finance, with 4 years' focus in IT financial and budget management
You have expert level analytical and financial modeling with an understanding of IT planning needs. This includes budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis and reporting
You have extensive experience with cost-benefit, scenario analysis and ROI modeling in technology
You have moderate skills and experience in business intelligence tools such as Tableau
You have advanced experience in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, macros) and PowerPoint presentation skills
You have excellent critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and mathematical skills
You have strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
