UX Designer

Manager Notes:

  • Looking for a UX designer that can create wireframes/mockups and collaborate with project teams.
  • Experience with UI Prototyping tool Axure or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Don't need coding experience, any knowledge of HTML, CSS is a plus but not required. No coding duties will be needed.
  • Experience in a large fast pace work environment is preferred.

User Experience (UX) Designer

Overview: The UX designer role is responsible for creating intuitive experiences with technology by transforming data, workflow processes and end user requirements into functional and usable software product designs. This role will also collaborate with the project teams frequently to propose new solutions to complex user-centered design problems.

As an UX designer, you will act as the driving creative force for your projects, participating in the design execution from concept to completion. You must be able to effectively communicate design ideas within a collaborative work environment. Your attention to detail and ability to multi-task must be exceptional. You should excel at handling multiple projects with aggressive timelines as well as be able to work well with high ambiguity and instead help clients develop requirements as you go.


Responsibilities:

* Own the overall user experience design of key areas of the product experience, including usability, accessibility, interaction design, information architecture, user interface design, etc.

* Strong proficiency with interaction design/UX principles and skills creating design deliverables including IA documentation, journey maps, rapid prototyping, site maps, concept diagrams, user scenarios, wireframes, flows, and annotated comps

* Create task, process and page flows

* Deliver and document wireframes + user flow

* Plan general information architecture for navigation

* Develop hi-fidelity mockups in Axure or Photoshop, markup guides and other design specifications

* Bring forward-thinking ideas to brainstorming sessions and workshops

* Proactively consult the product team, business analysts, and development teams for feedback and questions

* Serve as an expert and advise other teams from the visual design point of view

* Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines under pressure, and defend your design choices to stakeholders, including those at the executive level, but be open and respectful regarding their decisions and recommendations

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Work effectively in a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

* Willingness to work in an environment with high ambiguity - must be a motivated and confident self-starter that is willing to creatively solve problems and remove roadblocks.

Required Qualifications:

* At least 3-5 years industry experience

* Prior experience and working knowledge of UI prototyping tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, InVision, etc.

* Passionate about user-centered design.

* Interpersonal skills and boundless optimism.

* Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

* Sharp eye for detail and strong understanding of user-centered design principles.

* Have a portfolio with work that demonstrates a deep understanding of digital design or interactive experiences.

* Working knowledge of web UI technology (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery).

* Proven ability to articulate your creative thinking.
