Bach to Rock Alpharetta is looking for a Guitar Teacher - FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE! Bach to Rock Alpharetta is the fastest growing music school in the North Fulton area!! Our explosive growth means WE NEED YOU! #B2R-Alpharetta is currently seeking an experienced, charismatic and passionate Guitar Teacher to work as a part-time employee providing music classes to young children, teens and adults. All genres/styles welcome to apply! Music Teachers at Bach to Rock Alpharetta use B2R proprietary curriculum to provide an inspiring and well-balanced music education to students of all ages. By teaching theory and technique using music that students know and love, B2R teachers develop musicians who enjoy performing, recording in our studio, and even composing original music! We provide the materials and curriculum guides, but we rely on YOUR style and creativity to engage students and instill in them a love of music and their chosen instrument. Bach to Rock Alpharetta offers the opportunity to work a flexible part time schedule in a fun, positive energy environment with other like-minded musicians. We handle the marketing, scheduling, booking, billing and other business aspects of lessons & group classes so that you can focus on teaching. B2R offers an hourly rate that is based on education, experience, expertise, and availability. We offer other incentives too, such as free rehearsal space, at cost lessons with other teachers, free recording studio time, continuing education, a generous cash incentive program for helping us grow the school, opportunities to work in other aspects of school operations such as marketing, and real input into how our lesson programs should improve and evolve as we grow - and we are growing VERY fast. You - our teachers, are the most important resource we have. You are the primary way we engage with the public. We do our best, every day, to ensure our teachers are happy, engaged and focused on bringing the positive energy that our school is known for. Position Responsibilities: Teach private, semi-private and group lessons using your style and creativity, plus our curriculum guides and cover song arrangements Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere Promote our band program to students and encourage their earliest possible participation Coach student ensembles, including glee clubs and bands, and prepare them for performance at public venues Assist at B2R events both at the school and in the community, such as birthday parties, band camps, student concerts and promotional/publicity events. Be prepared to work extra hours during our busy summer camp season (Optional, but worth it!) Install, repair and maintain equipment throughout the school - if you possess that sort of skill set Requirements: Demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts in a developmentally appropriate and age appropriate manner to young children, teens and adults Must have an advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to primary instrument Effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task in a lesson Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities At least some performance experience (either solo or group) Experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians Ability to interact effectively with children and adults Ability to adapt and thrive in an active and noisy setting Ability to run basic sound equipment and computers Ability to pass a background check Can you also teach voice or another musical instrument???
