Job description

Our client is a global leader in the industry providing essential products and services to consumers and businesses alike. Their back-office operations are critical to the ongoing efficiency and success of the company and they wish to hire an Accounting Manager that is responsible for the accounting functions and preparation of financial statements, establishes and maintains accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for GAAP and SOX compliance, drives process improvements and ensures the team's compliance with departmental strategies.



Essential daily duties will include

  • Plan and manage monthly and year-end close process, review account reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate booking of transactions to the General Ledger
  • Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements; provide analysis on financial information, including supporting revenue and expense schedules; distribute and communicate the financial results to appropriate parties
  • Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams
  • Define SOX requirements for processes and manage compliance; define critical controls, develop and update process documents
  • Assist in significant ad-hoc projects including streamlining existing processes and implementation of reporting structure changes
  • Serve as a SME and assist cross-functional teams in considering the accounting implications of restructuring projects and inter-company transactions
  • Review, interpret and evaluate accounting and reporting pronouncements issued by the various authoritative accounting organizations for assigned accounts
  • Make decisions on how the department operates and is responsible for the department as a whole


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred
  • CPA or CPA track preferred
  • Big 4 experience preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Leadership experience
  • SAP or other ERP experience is a big plus
