Job description

Davidson Hospitality Group is looking for a Corporate Director of Payroll & Compliance. This role is based at our Atlanta, GA corporate office. (This is NOT a remote role but has some schedule flexibility) and oversee payroll/tax administration, compliance and applicable systems for the corporate office as well as support the property paymasters as a Subject Matter Expert for the hotels.

Your role will oversee all aspects of payroll administration to ensure accurate and timely payroll deliveries as well as tax compliance working in partnership with our payroll and time keeping partners. You will be responsible for developing procedures for and supervising the preparation, documentation, and disbursement of all payroll checks, payroll taxes, and employee benefit payments. Reviews additions and changes to computerized payroll system (e.g., changes in salary, benefits, tax withholdings, etc.). Ensures accounting distribution and preparation of deductions, proper governmental reporting and compliance, and oversees any irregular payments. You will oversee and administer benefit deductions, external audits and compliance.

In addition, this role will collaborate with all areas of the organization to assess payroll related needs, recommend solutions, and administer support for day-to-day payroll activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES :


    -Oversee property payroll processing for wage and hour compliance, policy compliance and overall accuracy conducting frequent audits.
    -Apply for new state tax ID's, oversee unemployment claims, employment verifications, wage garnishments, state wage and hour regulations and pay period requirements, process annual increases.
    -Provide leadership and oversight for the payroll department, including payroll processing, compliance, reporting and auditing
    -Process semi-monthly payroll for the Corporate Office
    -Process weekly and/or bi-weekly payroll for hotel/remote locations as needed
    -Develop and conduct training for all levels of the organization on payroll systems, procedures and processes.
    -Continuously analyze federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and implement changes
    -Support external and 401-K plan audits.
    -Reconcile employee benefit deductions
    -Effectively manage individual and team projects, create project plans, execute and achieve deliverables.
    -Manage external service providers to address challenges
    -Reconcile payroll reports to the General Ledger.
